Propride Umbilical Extension

The hitch is installed. I've double checked everything, made a few adjustments (like moving the towers back a bit to they do not rub against the SS propane tank cover), extended the safety chains and am ready to take it to the CAT scales.

A question, I have an extension for the umbilical cord. I was curious if there is any practical way to control the cable. It is a bit too long with the extension (at least I think so) but too short with out it. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Push the back end of the cable (coming from the trailer) back toward the trailer. You can get probably up to a foot there. Good luck!

Great idea. I didn't think of that!

Thanks!

I put a strip of double sided Velcro through the top of the hitch bar to make sure that the umbilical cord does not get hung up on anything and pull it loose from the TV. Don’t ask how I know, but I can tell you don’t want the cord to come unhooked.

I tape the ends together with Gorrilla tape. Also make sure the cable goes on the side of the stinger where you plug it in. Otherwise it will get caught and break an end. It happened to me. It still worked and didn’t come lose because of the tape. Thus I carry and extra cord along (if that thing breaks not a good thing). Again make sure that whatever side the plug on the truck is that’s where the cord goes. A good suggestion above regarding pushing the cord down some. Will try that.

!! 👌🏽

What we do...D-ring.👍

Old photo...I now use velcro tape on the TV end instead of the zip tie.
