Like you, I just set my BO hitch next to the A-frame, on the ground or on a 2x8x12" iron wood piece I have. Lay the Sway Bars on the power jack foot block I use also under the A frame, to avoid anyone tripping. I have the "receiver" type hitch storage device shown in the picture, but never used. Decided it looked like a "shin" hazzard with my bumbling around the A frame while camped, so didn't think I would use it....and I havn't.
When in storage, I use the wood piece mentioned above, inside the door, with the hitch on it, and the sway bars laying next. All this on top of a mat we use when camping to wipe your feet prior to entry.
