Large Shaft, Small Ball

Mind out of the gutter now
So when I purchased by 64 Globetrotter the gentleman PO gave me his hitch setup. I towed the AS home with my wife's Jeep that already had a hitch attached. Now I'm ready to setup this hitch. I could tell that it would take the larger shaft ball with a 1 7/8 ball. When I came to install it to my surprise the shaft hole was a little over 1.25 inches. Now I can find 2" balls with 1.25 shafts but not 1 7/8 balls. Anyone know where to get one?

Hmm... Good service has taken me to RJay's before. I don't see 1 7/8" balls with 1.25" shanks on their site. Further posts to this thread or maybe a call to RJay's could tell you if this is even available.

They make a sleeve that will fill in the hole for you. I got mine from a local trailer supply house that sells stuff for the horsey/roundy round crowd. I had to have one to fit a smaller ball to the Class V bumper I have

OK so I should have second checked the AS hitch. It's a 2" DUH

Good that you checked. I have yet to see an Airstream coupler made for a smaller hitch ball than the 2".
