Hitch storage bag

I have an Equalizer. When I drop my 25FBT off for storage, I don't want to bring my hitch home.
I put the Load Leveling bars in the bumper; but where do I put the hitch itself? I would like to put the heavy thing inside the door - but it's filthy. Is there some sort of bag that people prefer?

I just use a heavy duty clear polyethylene bag. I prefer clear because I won't mistake it for a bag of garbage, and being able to see the hitch inside I know to keep my feet away from it so I don't stub my toes. (I hate being clumsy. Oh, yeah, I shouldn't probably store it on my garage floor, but it is heavy enough that I don't want it up on a shelf that it might fall off of.)

We use these rubbermaid totes.
Have 1 for the hitch, and a second for the power cord and surge protector.
We keep them inside the rig during storage.

I can carry the hitch in the tote from the door of the airstream to the back of the truck, using two hands. I then set the tote onto the ground and lift the hitch into the receiver. This is much easier than carrying the hitch by hand the distance from the trailer to the back of the truck. Using the tote also keeps hitch grease from getting on the floor of the airstream.

If we take off the hitch while camped we put the tote on the floor of the backseat of the truck.

We put down newspaper and place hitch on that. While camping hitch gets “bagged” with plastic grocery bag and then in back of Eurovan

I use a rugged foot-wiping mat. It is small and can be put in the back of my rig, in the doorway of the trailer and it's super useful outside the step to wipe feet. It also is easily hosed off. win-win

Its too heavy to be floating around in the camper. Mine goes home, as it did today, and back in the garage. Its not hard to do.

So I just ordered this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LW5D15L Figure it should work for what I want, and not take up much room stowing it whilst driving. It gets here tomorrow, and I pick up the trailer on Tuesday.

I know this isn't what the OP was looking for, but it sure made my life easier moving the hitch from the receiver to storage.
