Very nice and out if the way. I was thinking of a sports bag, bats or snowboard, that could be modified.

Where did you get the 2" receiver part? Great way to potentially store my ProPride stinger....

I like the idea. I just ordered a curt 2 1/2" to 2" adaper to weld on as the tube doesn't need the strength of a regular receiver.

It is actually a 2 1/2” receiver and it is a Curt part 49510. Amazon around $30.

Agree but my F250 has a 2 1/2” receiver hence this is 2 1/2”.

Receiver for storing hitch
I bought a bumper hitch from Harbor Freight and bolted it to the back side of the tongue. I store and lock our Hensley there. I recently bought a 10" extension because I added Rock Tamer Brackets to the hitch. I bolted the bumper hitch on with squared U bolts from Rural King (like Tractor Supply). I remove the Rock Tamers and keep in the pickup bed if on the road.

Great idea! The 2 1/2 to 2" receiver is easy to find. What did you use to hold the bars? Is that something that your welder made for you?

He actually had a piece of steel there that fit but it is tight!
