Yes I have both on a 33 Classic. Very happy with both. Gen Y really improved (smoothed out) the ride. Only down side it is heavy (100lbs). So I leave it in the truck when on the road. Made a cradle for it out of harbor freight transmission jack to remove it when not traveling. Yes I have the front storage compartment and yes I had the notorious crinkles in the corners. Repaired out of warranty by JC. This was done before I got the Gen Y hitch. Some will blame the EQ WD set up. I don’t believe that is what caused the crinkles but it’s the natural flex point in the frame of the coach. I also don’t believe Airstream would repair so many under warranty if it was a result of the WD system folks are using. I would have liked to have the Gen Y from the start. I lot cheaper and better customer service than AirSafe. Just my thoughts and experiences since you asked.

We purchased the Boss Torsion Flex 10K hitch with 2.5 in shank in August 2020 and have put 3,000+ miles on our 27 ft Globetrotter since. Love the smooth ride, much better. Our TV is a 2020 Ram 2500………although we have the Equalizer WD/Anti Sway, I haven’t used it.

No sway issues across Utah, Arizona, California, Nevada and Colorado travels.

It is heavy as noted. But worth it to me when traveling over rough roads.
