Eaz Lift Elite Round Bar Alert

Make sure you hear a click when inserting the bar into the hitch!
My bar fell out yesterday and dragged along the road for some time - I suspect I'll have to buy a new one as it has considerable wear!
The problem was that the blind rivet had failed. This rivet keeps the spring taut that keeps the locking pin protruding into the tube that the bar inserts into. As a result no locking pin in place, no click when inserting the bar and once the stress is released by a tight maneuver or backing up, the weight distribution bar will fall out, and you may not hear it.
A new blind rivet costs nothing and is easy to replace, so maybe keep a spare or two.
But most importantly, listen for the click!

I'd be tempted to see if I could find a stainless steel rivet for that.....
