Curt WD hitch

Local Hitch House recommended this system for my 2015 Tahoe TV and 2015 FC 28. Seems to be a sound rig and certainly less costly than the Pro Pride. Any comments, pro or con?

I've used one and it was fine. Make sure you get the proper sized bars for the tongue weight of the trailer you will be towing, and make sure you get the friction anti-sway bar with it also. Basically it's a clone of the Easilift hitch.

I have the Curt complete kit #17222 and have been using it with my 1987 Avion 34W for a year now. It works quite well and is very solidly built. I'd recommend it to anyone.

You may have figured out by now everyone will swear by the hitch they are using, until they get something else. Then they will swear by that.

Going on 5 years and 10,000 miles with a Curt round bar set-up. 500# tongue weight on a 25 foot TradeWind. Powder coating still in very good condition. Wear seems to be minimal. Haven't had a need for a friction sway bar.
I think for the price its a good hitch for mid sized trailers.

Which equates to: make a quality decision on a quality product. I did a lot of research before I bought my Curt hitch and weight distribution system. The Hensley hitch was one of my choices, but with the Avion 34's good towing qualities (especially the lack of sway problems), I didn't see the need to shell out the money required to purchase the Hensley hitch. This was for MY situation..... yours may vary. But I tried to get a good tow vehicle to match the trailer I wanted, and it has worked out well for ME. MY truck tows MY trailer quite well.

I have since sold the class V receiver hitch that I had because I had a custom rear bumper made (thanks to someone else's auto insurance) that has an integral receiver built-in. Very stout, and an even better fit than the original receiver hitch had.

But HE has a 25' Airstream towed by at Tahoe. The Hensley/ProPride design will do well for HIS particular combination.

As I would expect it would.
