Saw last weekend. Friend had mounted on tongue of trailer. Facing up it filled with water.

Exactly...the 'lid' goes on top.🤔

Also, I don't trust the 'lock' to hold the 7pin in the TV plug when mounted horizontal, even less upside-down.🤓

Got this jack cover on Amazon. It’s got a pocket the 7-pin can sit in and is held in with a draw string. Also has hooks to connect chains. All while covering the jack. I don’t know that I trust the vent holes. I sometimes see condensation in the window over the level bubble but so far so good.
