The older Tundra's were not known for their towing prowess. I believe your set up will need special attention for towing a 31'. Consider one of these.....
I would suggest the OEM toyota receiver hitch. Better quality and does now rust as fast as aftermartket hitches. It comes complete with tail light converter unit that is installed inside taillight housing.
Maybe you should have it installed when you get you new frame (if you do not already have it) I am slated for a new one within the next month. This may be just a northeast US program...but thought I'd ask.
BUT...I think you may have too much trailer for your 2000 Tundra. Others will no doubt suggest the same.

I purchased it to move my belonging up north one state what should I beware of on my tow from Cali to Portland besides slopes.
The trailer does have 4 brakes, however my hopes are that my thousands of hours already spent making a vintage burn friendly rv will somehow help me financially since last 6 months salary has been spent on airstream. I want to either sell it for a good start in my new home. Or use it when I get a bigger truck to burn in.
