An inexpensive friction sway control will do with the OP wants.

I agree. While not a fan of a friction bar "only" because I do believe that almost all setups need some WD, I will also agree that in this case, you simply don't need all the WD. I certainly would not suggest spending close to $1K when you don't need it. Get the bar and give it a try. I think you will be fine. There are MANY out there that use these safely.

You might try these. https://www.amazon.com/Pro-83660-Val...8107921&sr=8-3
You'll need a hitch on the truck for the front of the friction bars to attach to. Here's one. I recommend having a friction bar on both sides of the trailer, that would be a different model https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hit...URT/C45WR.html

It's amazing that every site and everyone jumps to some fancy "weight distribution" thingy when you say Friction Sway Control.

I would only say to be careful about using a tow vehicle that is too rigid. The Movement up/down, is a way of buffering the shock to the trailers frame. Using a tow vehicle that is ultra rigid can have some real bad affects on the trailer structure and contents. I think some of the models specifically state not to use certain heavy duty trucks for towing If my mind is remembering things right. This is mainly for someone thinking about using a 3500 dually to tow a 19 foot CB like mine. Bad idea.

I think your 23 has enough tongue weight to allow the rear of the 3500 to move enough to not beat up the AS. Which is the reason I wouldn't use any W/D hitches, so it has that weight to work the rear truck suspension.

I have seen trailer hitches that only have the arm that mounts to the trailer frame for sway control. I think curt has one.
