Basecamp 20X with ProPride 3P or Hensley Cub hitch
Has anyone installed Propride 3P hitch on Basecamp? I'm thinking of buying Basecamp 20X, and after doing lot of research, my family is very particular on getting Propride 3P or Hensley Cub hitch. I called the Propride folks and they said it should be possible. But I didn't see any pictures online. When I look at the A frame of the tongue, there is no space at all to install the WD vertical points of the 3P hitch system. The battery compartment protrudes, and there is no space between the trailer wall and LP plastic cover.
Please let me know if anyone has successfully installed Propride or Hensley Cub on Basecamp 16X or 20X. Appreciate any pointers.

I think a ProPride or Hensley for a base camp would be unnecessary. A 200lbs hitch would add to much tongue weight.

I’d say try carefully towing it without a Hensley-design hitch and see how it handles. I decided to upgrade when I determined the rig handled badly with just a WD only system.

Others have also reported difficulty making it fit as you seem to be aware. I saw one where the tanks/cover were relocated. What is your tow vehicle, as others indicated you may not benefit that much from the rock steady sway control of a ppp hitch.

Thanks for responding. My TV is Porsche Cayenne. I general tow a boat for short trips. I recently towed FC 23 CB bunk with Equalizer hitch in my 8 day trip (800 miles). There was some heavy cross wind because of a storm. I was surprised that the setup was solid. The sway was minimal (60-65 mph on Interstate with 10-15 mph cross winds). I do lot of snow mountain trips (almost every other week). I don't want to upgrade my TV. Once I unhitch, Cayenne is one of the best car I can drive in the mountains. I just have to stay within 7500 lbs / 750 lbs limit. My family is paranoid about towing in snow, and I need to get a trailer that can accommodate PP or Hensley Cub. I can either buy FC 23' FB or Basecamp 20X or Bambi 20' or custom camper van. I prefer Basecamp because I can put my snow gear and tow around the mountains.
So appreciate any pointers on how I can accommodate PP or Hensley Cub in Basecamp. If it's not doable at all, I don't mind switching to a different trailer. It's weird, I'm ok to change the trailer but not the hitch, lol - things that we do for family's peace of mind!

The Cayenne will tow the basecamp wonderfully and safely with light to moderate Weight Distribution and good sway control. The Cayenne is excellent up to 23' and with care you can make 25' work nice without too much additional risk. In your case, consider an EAZ Lift Elite with the optional sway bar or any of the knock off models, from Huskey, Camco, Reese, Curt, Etc. Sway damping is adjustable separately so you can tune it without too much WD. The Andersen is also a very good choice as long as the ball fits tightly in the coupler with no slop. the coupler Airstream uses has wide manufacturing tolerances so the ball may not fit well and the Andersen does not tolerate slop in the system. Although the Equaizers perform well, they are stiff and hard on the trailer and require significant WD tension to get good sway performance, pass on it.
If you have your heart set on the PPP hitches you can make them work with some effort relocating and shoehorning it in. If you do you will be rewarded with superior sway performance that you really don't need with your combination.

Thanks so much BayouBiker. I'll explore my options further based on your inputs. Now I'm leaning towards FC 23' FB with HC hitch.
