Yucon XL grill removal

I am preparing to leave on a major trip to the southwest. I tow a 2007 27 FB Classic with a 2009 Yucon XL 2500 with the heavy duty towing package. Notwithstanding, the transmission oil cooler looks wimpy. I am considering installing a larger, more robust after market cooler. I am a do-it-myselfer.

My question is this. What is the procedure for removing the front grill to gain acess to the transmission cooler/radiator? I have removed the row of fasteners across the top, but the grill remains solidly attached. What is holding it in place? Does the entire front assembly have to be removed??

No comment on the grill removal but when you install your additional cooler make sure you have it installed After the Radiator in the coolant flow.

Often manufactures install the cooler before the radiator relying on the radiator to warm the transmission in winter. This limits the overall cooling to that of the radiator temperature and the aux cooler just clips off very high temperatures.

On my system I bypass the transmission loop in the radiator and use a fan driven cooler with a thermostat set at 165 degrees and them to the factory cooler.
