Who rents trucks to tow my 1962 Airstream Globetrotter?

I live in California. Our Suburban is no longer reliable to tow our '62 Globetrotter and can't afford a new vehicle right now. I can't seem to find anyone who rents trucks to tow recreational trailers. Any ideas??

Most truck rental places forbid you towing your trailer with their truck.

However if you are willing... Galpin Ford in the san Fernando Valley has slide in receiver hitches on their rental F250 & F350's trucks and vans. Make sure you have your own insurance.
I'd rather be boon docking in the desert.

Yes, we have courtesy parking for you. About an hour North of Los Angeles.

Some people have had good luck with U-haul. It's more practical for moving a trailer to or from a seasonal location, or bringing a new-to-you trailer home, than for camping trips.

The least expensive way to to this is to rent a Ryder truck that you would move with! Since you don't have any weight in the box of the truck you will easily tow any size trailer! The most it will cost to rent is $500 from coast to coast plus gas! Furthermore, if you are unsure of the trailer's safety simply rent a car hauler trailer with the Ryder truck and place your trailer on it! I found it is less expensive to fly across country and pick up a trailer in this fashion than to drive both ways!

Good Luke!

I used Triangle rent a car locally, not sure about nationally. That was part of my overall strategy. I have a little Hyundai for the drive to work, and I rent my tow vehicle for the camping trips. Triangle installs heavy duty hitches on their trucks for this purpose. However, sometimes the previous renter was a smoker, so I sometimes have to deal with that.
