What kind of mirror extensions

I use a 2011 Dodge Durango as my tow vehicle. Is there any special extensions for my mirrors or can my DD be retrofitted with bigger mirrors?

See if the Cipa slip-ons are made for that vehicle. We had good luck with them on our previous TV.

Install a rearview camera instead. Absolutely no blind spot.

We have been using these suction mirrors on our Suburban for over ten years. They have always worked very well for us. They adjust with the tow vehicle mirror, are easy on and off, are inexpensive, and are available at Wal-Mart.

Here are a couple of pictures.

A good rear view mirror is a great addition, but you need an effective set of mirrors to tow safely. Good luck with your research. There do seem to be options and the Mclesh mirrors that Hensley sells are a good default if others are not acceptable. Pat

The Cipa’s have served us well on our F150. They are secure, have a good sized mirror surface and if you squint, almost look like they belong there.

Forget all the other mirrors out there! The best by far are the Milenco Aero 3 or the Milenco Grand Aero, whichever fits your taste. They fit almost any mirror, are easy on/off, clamp on VERY securely and don't shake around while driving.

Have used Cipa slip-on mirror on GMC Yukon and on Ford. They are great and look like OEM mirrors.

While they are good, they are not perfect. They do shake and if you over-tighten the clamps, they will damage the OEM mirrors. With reasonable care, they are nice solutions. The larger version is more helpful if it works on your vehicle. Pat

Another vote for the CIPAs. I use them on a Tundra, they're a little awkward to install, but once on they look good and don't vibrate.

Milenco Aero 3 or the Milenco Grand Aero, I second and third these, we tried a couple others before finding these, and have used the first set we bought for several years with little to no problem. We never experienced damage to our TV mirrors, but could see how you might do that. Not badly priced either.

Mirrors

I second the suction mirror. I have used them for a year and a half for thousands of miles with no issue. I like the fact u can adjust them with the power mirror button.

I have used Milenco Grand Aero mirrors on my Frontier. They do work fairly well, but there is a bit of vibration, and they don’t extend quite far enough to see around my 8’ wide Flying Cloud; now if my truck were just a bit wider, there would be no problem.

K Source "Snap & Zap" from Amazon for about $50.00. Fit perfectly with no vibration. I've used a pair on my Ford F150 XLT for three years and love them.

I've used the Milenco Grand Aero for the last two years. Worked well for me. I am planning on putting them up for sale since I bought a new truck with standard tow mirrors.

Send me a PM if interested. I'll send you pictures.

Thanks

What kind of mirror extensions

Have a 2014 dodge Durango and tow a 25foot serenity. I bought the CIPA part number 11650 deluxe door mount towing mirrors. Once mounted and adjusted they work excellent. Good and solid. Have towed for two years with them and no problems very easy to reinstall and take off. $58.49 each from Amazon with free shipping. I like them because if were in a park for more than one day I take them off do our sightseeing and when we’re ready to leave a few days later I put them back on and there’s no readjusting the mirrors.

Stock mirrors and a rearview camera is VERY effective and safe.

A couple of years ago, we bought Milenco mirrors based on recommendations on Air Forums. Up to that time, we used McKesh mirrors. After driving about 50 miles with the Milenco mirrors, we pulled over and switched back to the McKesh mirrors which we have used ever since. The Milenco mirrors simply did not work well for us.

We use the McKesh, with the convex spot mirrors on both sides.

My husband says that they are fantastic, because the convex spots let you really see the traffic merging from the on-ramps.

We got some wind noise at first from the straps. We put a couple of coozies under the straps and now have no problems.

Tow mirrors

We use aftermarket mirrors from K-Source on our Tundra. They work with the electronic adjustment switch and turn signal, and can be retracted to normal length when not towing. They look like stock mirrors rather than something screwed on
