In 2018 we ordered a new 2019 Sequoia.
Much better towing experience. Very close to the RAM EcoDiesel, but just not quite as good. Similar towing MPG as the '02 Sequoia 8-10 MPG. Only one trip with it but it is a good tow vehicle.

That is a sharp looking setup. I bet the 4.7 did struggle with those weights.

I towed a 3300# custom built (1948) trailer with a 2007 Toyota FJ but the rear-end went kaput--they were built in Mexico and Toyota had a bad bunch of these. I rebuilt it for $2000 (Toyota chipped in half), sold the FJ and bought the 2015 Sequoia which tows it easily.

Smile Tundra & 27' CCD - like butter towing

HELLO,
27' Airstream, CCD, that we towed with a Tundra Truck, 2016.
We loaded the trailer, I think, if I remember correctly, towing capacity was 10,500. It was the Work Truck Version, came fully equipped.
We live in the mountains so going up hills was important. The Tundra never had a problem, even in strong winds...we have Santa Ana winds here.
So Cal.

WE LOVED IT. The truck was rock solid, it towed the trailer like butter. No issues. Owned it for four years, sold the rig to buy a Class C Motorhome.
Happy Travels. Elisa and Stan

2017 SR5 5.7L Tundra

2017 SR5 5.7L Tundra Tows our 19’ Bambi. Its an overkill for sure but wanted to make sure we had a Truck that could handle a larger Airstream if we ever did trade up. Expecting to reach 1,000,000 trouble free miles in my Tundra 😊

Please don't flame me as I cannot afford to purchase a 3/4 ton truck and had to go with what I had before retirement. 2008 Tundra SR5 Double cab 4x4 5.7L. 2000 Excella 34 with ProPride hitch. Rides level and within axle ratings of truck. Full-time😀

We tow our 2020 25FB Flying Cloud (Petunia) with a 2020 Toyota Tundra SR5 4x2 CrewMax (Growly Pete) and an Equalizer hitch.

Payload is 1360 I think mostly due to the 38 gal. fuel tank option, which I gotta say it's nice having that much range... I think the standard is a 24 gal. tank.

Payload isn't quite what I'd like, but it's a comfy ride and tows like a champ. I've already installed these tow mirrors and love them (power folding!)

https://boostautoparts.com/products/tundra-mirrors

I'm open to other mods as well. Curious about shocks... tires... etc. We have 18" OEM tires. Michelin LTX P255/70R18

I pull a 22' 2004 Safari (double axle) with a 2014 Tundra. The Tundra doesn't even know the trailer is there...

My old Tundra called this her “Hero Shot”

Every mile our 2014 Eddie Bauer 25’ has moved since we bought it has been behind this 2014 Tundra (silver, CrewMax, Limited, 5.7L, 4x4). Here’s what we look like on the road:

However, despite 130,000 miles on the truck, Toyota made me an offer I couldn’t refuse and a week ago today I picked up a 2020 Tundra (silver, CrewMax, Limited, 5.7L, 4x4). Tow vehicles are like spouses... once you find the right one for you, there is no reason to make a change... unless you find a clone! Plus, I reused all of my accessories and I don’t need to change my AirForums profile pic. Once I hit 500 miles on the new truck, Toyota says I can see how it tows.

Next year we are embarking on “MOART 2021”... the Mother Of All Road Trips... 10,300 miles, 4 months, heading clockwise around the US perimeter to catch the last of the lower 48 that our old Tundra never reached.

Pulling a 2014 Eddie Bauer 27FB with a 2015 Tundra 1794 Edition. Husky Center Line WD w/sway control and helper spring on the rear suspension to reduce sag and tighten things up.

And One More

We pull a 25 FCFB with a 2008 Sequoia 4x4 with an Equal-i-zer hitch. Left Denver for Alaska with 176,000 miles on the odometer. Ran 7000 interesting miles up and back without a problem. Only issue was fuel consumption especially at higher speeds. Very stable, but you know the trailer is back there, especially at altitude. Just bought a new 2020 Sequoia so the hunting dogs can continue riding in air conditioned comfort. Selling the old one with 225,000, still running, great, doesn't burn any oil. Amazing vehicles.

Ditto on the LX570

2013 LX570 w/22" rims, Pirelli Scorpion tires
2015 27FB International Signature
Blue Ox WDH w/1000lb bars

Works for me and the dog. I do go through the Pirelli tires and have to stop for gas about every 3 hours. Been in extreme high winds in WY and drove over the Rockies with a broken arm - no problems.

Back to a Tundra

We pull a 2010 25' RB International with a 2019 Tundra. We had traded in our 2010 Tundra for a new 2020 GMC Sierra, but after two months we traded that in for the Tundra. We DID NOT like the way the GMC handled and there were two recalls in the first month we had it. We are happy to be back in the Tundra! We use an equalizer hitch and since we are not full timers by any stretch, we have snap-on mirror extenders that match the Tundra mirrors and they perform admirably well.[ATTACH][ATTACH]379328

2019 Toyota Land Cruiser

We use our 2019 Land Cruiser to easily tow our 2018 Tommy Bahama 19cb. We alternate with our Jeep Gladiator.

2008 Sequoia limited 4wd towing a 1989 limited 33'
Took it from California to Vermont a few years ago on an epic 6 month road trip. Truck is at about 160k miles and other than a starter just minor repairs.
Used a standard WD hitch and it worked well for the most part, but thought I would be fulltiming so I spring for the propride and man is that thing silky! I haven't had it out on the road a ton yet but it feels exceptionally stable (not that it felt unstable before, but it feels even better now.)

We tow a 2020 23FB Flying Cloud with a 2019 Toyota Tundra 5.7, v8, Crewmax. Are near the end of a 5 month trip having started in Florida, through the southern states and Texas, north to Utah and Idaho, Wyoming, Montana & Glacier NP, across upper tier and steadily southeast through Midwest.
So far 11,000 miles and 2 enroute oil changes. In the words of the main driver..."I forget Ms. Virginia is back there."
Keep our speed about 58, the sweet spot. Been getting 11.5 to 13 mpg continuously, depending on how tall the mountains are.
Love the truck and trailer combo, wouldn't change either one. Have already made reservations for Christmas in the Florida Keys.
Only things we've added to truck is leather seats, Retrax Pro bed cover, Yakima bike racks. It came fully loaded with towing package.

I tow a 19’ International with an ‘06 4Runner. It’s the only TV I’ve used since I bought my AS. I towed it from Pennsylvania to California and up through Canada on the AL-CAN Hwy. to Anchorage, Alaska and then back to Virginia on a southern route on my longest trip. Never had a problem except for a flat tire on the 4Runner when I picked up a nail in a truck stop. Love my good ol’ dependable 4Runner. Almost 300k miles on it now!Click image for larger version
