How to design a Tesla Cybertruck

1. Start by growing up watching a lot of Sci-Fi from the 1970's and 80s.

2. Wonder why the El Camino was never the hit it so richly deserved to be.

3. Wish you could have been old enough at the time to buy a DeLorian and pretend to be James Bond.

4.Have a dream one night where the El Cam had a fling with the DMC whilst being spied upon by the F-111 Nighthawk

5. Wake up and in a burst of Eureka-level creativity, show your sketch to someone as rich and crazy as Elon, and, Voila:

Remaining questions:
1. What happens when it gets up to 88mph?
2. Where do you put the droid co-pilot?
3. Do I have to wear a back cowl and cape to drive it, or is that optional?

Handiest thing about a Tesla truck is being able to load your generator in the back and re fill your battery as you drive along.

Sure you'll have to stop for genny gas but that only takes a few minutes.

I usually avoid Tesla posts, because the Tesla faithful have their minds made up.
But did you see Elon Musk at the unveiling? He said it was bulletproof, and so he threw some steel balls at the windows, which promptly smashed.
His comment was priceless, but not for family viewing.

Yes. But it takes so much current that it has to have a big honking diesel engine to power it. That is why it is called a diesel/electric engine.

This must be a joke.

Hi, this Tesla truck looks like a cross between a Delorean car and a Chalet trailer.

The diesel electric setup eliminates having to have a transmission and clutch. Can you imagine clutch wear on a locomotive?

Will there be a EV for someone that just wants a base model? I have the impression that these are for folks living pretty comfortably, or are really environmentally conscious. (Top 5 percenters). What will everyone else drive?
Already is. You can get a Leaf or Volt pretty cheaply.

It’s already all on you. Vehicles towing are statistically much safer than most vehicles. Accidents are 99.5% driver error. Check the stats. A weigh sheet ain’t gonna protect most people who are texting, speeding, running red lights, or drunk.

Yes, it’s weird looking. But so is the Prius, and look at all of them on the road now. It’s a hideous vehicle, but at 50 mpg even my wife wanted one once (I refused and we have an SUV now)

You mean F117 Nighthawk. The F111 Aardvark was/is a swing wing bomber prior to stealth technology making its debut.

Anyway, did Elon say anything about a flux capacitor?

What if Airstream made a trailer with the floor made out of batteries, like the floor of theTesla ? Sure would make for some good boon-docking. Your Tesla truck towing a 33 foot battery...... hmmmmmmm

Have to ask...would you go to space with this guy? Was this rollout so important they couldn't wait till it had some test miles on it or what?
