Real Time Mileage Monitor
I have a 2000 250 Super duty TV and wanted to be able to monitor gages instead watching fake ones. Bought a thing called Scan Gage which plugs into on board computer diagnostic port. What I really like in addition to being able to monitor transmission temp is real time mileage monitor. I have V10 and mileage was 10/11 when towing. With the monitor I can back off a little going up hills and keep from down shifting, course no cruise control. But by watching, mileage is now 13/14 and I'm hoping for more. Scan Gage cost $160.00 but with tranny temp, water temp, and a couple other monitors as main goal, mileage improvement is icing on the cake.
