New Tow Vehicle!

So on the final leg of our inaugural trip in our Globetrotter we decided to get a new tow vehicle. While towing over the mountains on Route 40 south (National Road) headed towards I 68 on our way to Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone MD, the transmission in our 2004 Suburban 2500 HD overheated, the engine started to overheat, we lost power, and had to pull over at the Scenic Overlook for an hour to let everything cool off. After we started up again and got to our campsite, we discussed and decided maybe we were asking too much of a 14 year old truck with almost 160K on it. Especially since we intend to head out in October for 6-7 months and head west. We went out the next day and traded the old girl in on a 2018 Silverado 2500 HD diesel. Wow, what a difference! We are really pleased with our new TV.

Congrats Steve! Now you have to update your signature in your profile ^^^ .

We are towing a 30' FC Bunk, and went with a 2018 3500HD, no regrets here.
