HELLO - I NEED SOME HELP IN FINDING THE RIGHT TRUCK TO PULL MY 1988 29FT. EXCELLA. IT MUST BE A VAN THAT CAN HOLD 600LBS IN TOOLS PLUS RV FULL TIME. THE 2007 6.0 V8 TURBO DIESEL LOOKS GOOD. I LIKE FORD BUT WILL CHANGE FOR THE RIGHT TRUCK. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT YOU HAVE

I think you made the right choice.

Before you buy a 6.0 read here

If those problems don't scare you away, then buy it, or get a GM with a Duramax and the best trany on the market.

The vast majority of 6.0 problems were from model years 02,03,04.
Now if you want the most reliable you should get a Dodge but they are loud and the interiors are subpar in looks and quality.

No matter which way you go you might have problems but thats true of all things. If you like the Ford go ahead and get it. You won't have any more problems than any other brand.

They weren't made until mid '03 I think.

Problems continue, I've been reading that forum for a few years, I owned a 7.3 ford diesel for 3 years great truck.

Because they are being discontinued their resale value will be poor.
Ask yourself this, if Ford spent all the money to develop that engine and decides to halt production and lose millions$$$$, why but one of the last black sheep.

Down the road parts will be scarce in a few years perhaps.

If you want a Ford wait for the 6.4 it should be solid.

If you are referring to the Ford 6.0 diesel engine I think you may be a little harsh, as far as parts being scarce in the future...you gotta be kiddin...with over 3 million 6.0s on the road, you and I will both be dead by the time replacement parts run out. AND, the reason you hear more about the Ford 6.0, good or bad is because it out sold all the other brands diesels combined and then some. I mean no disrespect by my response, I just dissagree.
