LOGGING Tow Vehicle and Trailer Mileage

I keep a Log Book in the F350 Tow Vehicle. Blue Ink for when it is driven without the trailer. Diesel, Oil/Filter Changes, Fuel Filter Changes, Tire replacement, DEF added... and so on.

Date, Location, Station, Mileage, Gallons, Miles per Gallon and the details in a book with lots of columns.

When the Airstream is attached, RED INK. Anything added to the Airstream is inserted in RED Ink.

We can give you the exact mileage towing the Airstream to a mile!

Do you LOG yours? How do you do it?

Sounds as though you have a good system. I like the idea of color coding.

I personally don't keep a records for the TV. That seems to take care of itself. But I write all the milage for the AS in a notebook. I also record how many nights we stayed in it. I do this for each serrate trip. Then at the end of the year I total it, "x" number of miles and "x" number of nights.

One of the guys in our AS Club has a hub meter on his AS. He said it was one of his best investments and said he wished he would have gotten it much sooner. I personally don't see the need for a hub meter but it works for him.

I have a spreadsheet on the computer. I keep track of all the mileage, time and miles between bearing packs, life of current tires and of course total towed mileage of the trailer.

I also record all of the maintenance done, when and where it happened.
