Lincoln Navigator

Anyone have experience using a Lincoln navigator? I would be Towing a 30 foot 1963 Sovereign. Curb weight 4500 pounds. Tongue weight 490. This would be local towing only. No cross country trips. No mountain driving. Probably no more distance then 100 miles from home base.

We tow a 23FB with a 2017 navigator. Smooth ride, does a fantastic job. Absolutely love the combo.

Hi, I bought a used 2000 Lincoln Navigator to tow our new 2005 Safari 25-B. The Lincoln towed our Safari with an Equal-I-zer hitch for over ten years with no problems at all. Our longest trip with this combination was from Southern California to Alaska and back. It was for 50 days and over 10,000 miles. At the end of 2014 I bought a 2014 F-150 and retired the Lincoln from towing, but we still use the Lincoln almost daily.

I have towed boats and campers with a 1999 and 2002 Navigator and 2003 and 2016 Expedition. All towed well, writhing their limits. You don’t mention what year, but 2015 and newer with the ecoboost motor have much better power.
That said, where these vehicles can come up short is payload. My 2016 had a payload if only 1319 lbs. if you have a carload of people or gear, you run out of capacity. Your trailer is fairly light, as is the tongue weight. I would tow with the Navigator, just be aware of its limits.
