Jumped on the HD bandwagon

We recently dropped off our FC25RBT for service and decided they could keep it and we ordered a FC30RBT. We towed the 25 with a 1500 Ram and never had a problem once the WD hitch was dialed in. After reading a bunch I decided being at the max or over payload and tow weight, we just bit the bullet on a Ram 2500 Gas. I only drove the last truck 10k a year so the diesel just did not make financial sense. The 2500 4x4 is ginormous compared to the 2wd 1500, but I’ll get used to it.

Congratulations! The 2500 is big and beefy and it is nice to not have to concern yourself with payload issues. The FC30 is also very nice. We chose ours for the bed orientation, two places to sit and the storage space. Enjoy!

Congrats on your new equipment!

The 30 RBT is a really nice set up and I'm sure you will enjoy it. What are the lead times being advertised at this time?

And the RAM 2500 is an awesome machine as well. What model did you get and curious if you got the RamBoxes?

Safe travels!

I do not have a time back from the mothership yet. We placed the order three weeks ago and the dealer said it will be December before we get a delivery date.

As for the truck we got a bighorn 6” bed with tow package and 410 gears. It’s a plain Jane truck, only option I wanted and need was the 8” screen and CarPlay and tuning boards to get in it. It’s huge!

We got the 25 originally for ease of towing and parking. For the two of us it’s great, but seems we always have a grandkid or two with us whenever we go. It’s just too hard to put the gaucho up and down so we went with a model that has a couch and dinette. I was really tempted to get a 28 but my wife went in a friends 30 classic and said the size was perfect. The classic is nice but they are proud of those things and the FC is fine for us.

Congratulations on upgrading your trailer and the new RAM. We also have a 2500 with the 6.4 gas + new 8 speed trans and haven’t been disappointed. Wishing you many happy miles of towing!

Congratulations on the new truck and trailer! We bought a RAM 2500 Hemi earlier this year and have been very happy with it. Just came back yesterday from a 1600 miles trip to Zion NP. I used to tow with our GL450 for short trips, and rental F150 EcoBoost from our AS dealer for the long trips before we bought this. Pulling with RAM2500 feels so much more comfortable and stress-free. It's a fantastic truck to tow with and has all features of a luxury SUV.
