I tow with a touareg and if you do a search you will find a lot on Touaregs pulling Airstreams. Also one of the guys that was on shame on you that had the Touareg purchased back was also on this forum.I remember seeing it.I think it was Xrayo who posted about it.I know alot of people dont like the fact that it tows an Airstream but it really tows great. If you go on the vortex forum you will see what these people pull behind there Touareg.also what they do to them in the mountains.I know publicity can ruin them but not until you try it and take it for a test run you will know how nice it really is.
What about the video of the Porsche Cayenne pulling the Airstream thru the slalom. There whole platform is made by volkswagen look underneath the vehicle and you will see VW icons on them. All they really do is cosmetic work and spoof up the engine. It tows the same weight and everything.I dont mind getting flamed or anything like that.I am totally happy with what I have.

I wonder then if the porsche folks are then happy its really not a porsche after all but a VW ? that also ought to go over well .
if im buying a porsche ,it better be one .Forever ,it was clear that if you told a porsche person his car was a VW ,that was fightin words ,now what will they say, since it really is one.
It still is a Porsche. There are a lot of things that will let you know it is.The Audi Q7 has the same platform. The VW Touareg uses the Audi engine. The Cayenne is a superb vehicle and it very nicely done.they colaberated with the companies to do this and it worked out great. You will find it all on the vortex or the cayenne forums.I also been on the Cayenne site and those guys are great.very helpful with a lot of stuff.

as a publicity measure: nifty.
As anything else... sorta blah.
After all, the Aussies have this sort of thing as a passtime Road train - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
something like 603 metric tons (1,326,600 lbs) and 2000 ft with only twice the HP of the 'dub back in '99. They're up to nearly a mile by now.
Does it prove anything? Not really. Like a tractor pull, fun to watch but probably pointless.
