I’ve used the same 2.5. F250’s for years and tow 33ft Classic with Equalizer setup. Many are good. Take the time to get it setup correctly with your dealer and you should never have a problem. I would always advise the diesel, but many here like to discuss that at length on other threads.

On a side note; as an owner of a 2019 F250 I just received something from Ford indicating that they have a new part, under warranty, for trucks that have experienced "steering oscillation" above 45 mph (what has been referred to on these boards as "death wobble"; not unique to Fords). I wonder if anyone here has replaced the steering parts they discuss.

Yes they extended the warrant for the front end steering stabilizer etc for the wobble. It’s 100,000 miles. Just have mine in for service, no vibration or shimmy so no repair.
