Ford F-150 Atlas Concept Truck

A preview of things to come. There is a short commercial half way through, so be patient.

Nice looking truck. It amuses me, though, to hear the emphasis on fuel economy when at the same time I can only imagine what those gizmos cost up front and/or what they cost to replace.

I like my older, simpler truck!

Very interesting.

The first thing I noticed when they were moving it into the service bay, was it seemed to be rather noisy.

The second thing I noticed was they still haven't improved the turning radius.

There are a lot of neat do dads on this truck, but judging from other concept cars and trucks, most of them will not make it into production.

As most of you know, I'm a GM guy, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate cool stuff on other brands. I have a good friend who has one of the new Ford Al body trucks. I love that truck! I would buy one, myself if it were built closer to the ground where I didn't have to climb up into it.

The Atlas was the concept that led to the current F150 (the aluminum one.) This is a video from 2 years ago...

I'll bet all those gizmos really don't play well with my ham radio gear.
