Took the Dodge for routine service and several people offered to buy it. Frankly was surprised how much it was still worth. Decided to sell it and the discounts were so good on the Ford (A-plan, first responder and medical professionals discount, and rebate) I just did it. The Dodge went on the dealer lot and was sold the same day. It was eight years old, treated with NH Oil and Fluid Film so there was zero rust and it was immaculate. It had just turned 40,000 miles.
I wanted something with a warranty as I will be driving it to work daily (the Dodge was used 3 times a year, only for camping. I was considering the new 1500
Duramax which also would have been a good choice. The Ford is twice the payload I need. I skipped the full four door so it would be a little shorter but it still requires some forethought when parking.
Since the pandemic and “stay at home” orders people are driving crazy and I want the largest, most visible vehicle I can get even if I am the only one in it.
