Safeharbor,

I chose option B and upgraded my truck. I now have VERY comfortable surplus of towing ability and a truck with 80,000 less miles on it and a full warranty.

Hi, Goin' camping,

Great. I think 3/4 ton trucks are the cat's knickers for 25' and up. I hope it serves you well.

Hi, Sam,

Just as I was pulling out of the RV park two Saturdays ago, I had to wait at the turn for a fifth-wheel to pull in. It was about a 28-32-foot job, and I was suprised to see a quad-cab 1500 Dodge pulling it. Again, it's not what we CAN do with our tow vehicles on the straight and level, but what we SHOULD do to ensure that the TV matches the load -- in all respects.

hi driftwood,

thanks for reminding me of that nifty psa.

i've always enjoyed the gprime.net stuff...
there are some very funny files on that page.

what would be a cool action here is...

when ever someone hit the 'new thread' button...
that nifty reminder auto loaded and played...

http://gprime.net/flash.php/postingandyou

as you can see my post above was edited....
'when a new member askes a repetitive question, you don't have to remind him to use the search function over and over'

so as much as i like the 'use the search' psa....
well it looks like that is now forbidden too...

as for mr skip mac above, he/she/it has now post again asking about a trailer too big for the hummer in question....

COULD THIS BE a a well know fishing technique where long lines and hooks hand off the boat as it moves through the water?

instead of editing my useful post wouldn't it be more useful to delete these posts that are looking for bites? same basic query over on other rv forums has been quickly nipped.

net result here is degrading a basically useful thread into something else...

and goin camping, who was sincere in asking the original question was prompted (i think) into doing a little research. it would seem deciding the 150 wasn't up to the task, moving on to a superduty psd.

will the hummer fisherman do the same? unlikely.

i will add that i stopped by the h dealer in my hood. the 3 is so tall and short and narrow....

also any modification of the factory receiver will be a BIG ISSUE,
because the muffer box is located UNDER IT, cross wise...like the old vw beatles...

cheers

hi lamar...

well IF the '3 in question is manual tranny absolutely!

even the auto will be close....

the very base 16 international makes it...but the ccd or other models...no

and thats still without options on either the trailer or h'3...

of course many creative folks here tow with all sorts of unusual combos...

and i enjoy learning from those folks who do this...

perhaps we will find out soon...

but i still wonder if this isn't a phishy post...

cheers
