i tow a much lighter, smaller, 65
caravel with my BMW X5d and absolutely LOVE it.
there is loads of power and torque. i have also convinced myself that the all wheel drive helps keep things stable. the brakes easily handle the setup. i have probably towed about 15k miles and think that it is the best. we were on a caravan on the blue ridge parkway which is very challenging for a rig. lots of steep up and down and slow speeds. we had absolutely no problems while others were having issues.
also when i am not towing i have a wonderful everyday driver with great finish out and super comfortable seats.
i would encourage you to look at the diesel. it has 420 ft lbs of torque. more that most of the gas motors that people have in their half ton trucks. btw the wheel base is equal to a tahoe and it weighs only about 500 lbs less than an expedition, sequoia or armada.
