Any longterm users 4Runner/22' Bambi sport??

Currently I tow my 22' Sport with an Ecoboost F150. I barely know the Sport is behind me on the highway but I find the F150 to be big for how I use a vehicle every day.
Several of my chevy Suburban loving friends have downsized to 4Runners for day to day use and really like them.

My wife is on her second 4Runner, my mother got her first one last fall after being a big Subaru fan for decades.
4Runners are great vehicles, and Toyota has a well deserved reputation for good reliability.
I have only towed a U-Haul across town with the wife’s first one. It did fine, but I can’t vouch for long distance with a camper. I suspect it would be great, with a brake controller added.
If Toyota made a 3/4 ton truck I would take a long, hard look at it.

The 4 Runner and similar vehicles have soft, long travel suspension for off road and that will make pitch and roll movement with even the light trailer just a bit excessive for passengers. Most people don't care for the extra movements but some don't mind. You will want sway control support for highway travel above 60 mph or so. For that size trailer and a 4 Runner, those are the primary issues people have reported.
