Nope, except when I pull in to a gas station.

regrets

Only regret is not going with a 350 for xtra payload. Would love to take a off road vehicle ( motorcycle or side by side 4x4). My ideas as to my needs have changed and I would be pushing the limits with my diesel 250 4x4.
But i do love my 2016 f250.

No regrets. Now, when I’m in a parking lot ask about whether a full crew cab and eight foot bed were a good idea. That review remains mixed.

Only regret was not buying the F350. There were none available so I have an F250 Platinum Diesel 4x4. Do not regret buying the Platinum edition with the 360 degree cameras to aid in parking, the adaptive cruise control and the massaging seats.

Love it

We just took a 1000 mile non-camping trip in the 3/4 ton. 500 miles per day. I had been renting cars for this trip(visit granddaughter) to not use the truck. Well, I was amazed at how comfortable the truck was. I guess it is a combination of the long wheelbase and suspension, but this was a much more comfortable trip than those we have taken in SUV's and import sedans. Even more comfortable than the Impala we got once. Parking in a major metro area was not a problem because there are big parking lots everywhere we went.
Now my gas mileage was only 14 mpg but the big tank precluded the need to get fuel on the way, either direction.

Short answer is no. It all depends on what you're pulling, i.e., weight, length, etc. Since moving to first a 5th wheel and then to the Airstream, I rest easy in the comfort of sitting behind the wheel of a capable truck(mine is a Chevy 2500HD Duramax), knowing that it's made for doing just what its asked to do. No white knuckles, no worries about getting over that mountain in the distance, and no worries coming down the mountain. Heavy duty means heavy duty brakes, transmission, cooling system, suspension, etc.

No regrets, but I loved the 3.5 ecoboost.

I'd consider a 1 ton next time, and I'd go for the long bed. I'll find some place to park it.

I tried buying one vehicle to use as a daily driver/tow vehicle as many do. The Grand Cherokee was an awesome daily driver and OK tow vehicle.

Then went to an F350 gas which was a very good tow vehicle and marginal daily driver (my work has truck sized spots but going downtown or shopping I had to park in the back 40 to avoid door dents and angry people who don’t like trucks).

Finally saw the light. Got a Ram 2500 diesel which tows with absolute authority. It gets driven maybe 3 times a year, stays immaculate and never sees road salt. Paid $4500 for a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer, a 4wd body on frame SUV that is possibly the best daily driver ever. Sits in the driveway or street, parks anywhere, large enough to be safe. I’ll never go back to a single vehicle for both uses.

My only regret is buying trucks in the past to be daily drivers.

This. I realize it's a particularly indulgent thing to have a vehicle dedicated for towing, but I'm very glad I went that way. I didn't give up a thing for daily driving and have a lot of peace of mind while towing.

Once the kids are out of the house, which is quite some time from now, I'm sure we'll re-evaluate. At this point the only way I'd downsize the truck is by downsizing the traveling crew and the trailer (which may well be in our future).

I've historically hated big trucks but have grown to love mine.

Yep, I would have never imagined myself driving any pickup truck six months ago, let alone a 3/4 ton, but both my wife and I have grown to like it a lot. Although we bought this as a dedicated tow vehicle yet, we find ourselves picking it over the GL often for daily chores. I must say that RAM's lovely interiors do play a role in it.

As for towing, it has taken away the constant fight with payload numbers and the worry in the back of my mind, which defeats the very purpose of having an AirStream, which for me is to get away and decompress. So no regrets at all.

Happy 2500 Owner

We owned two V8 1500/150's we used for towing. We have owned 5 2500's with 6.0 gas engines for towing. Current truck is a 2015 Chevy 2500 crew cab with 6.0 gas engine and 410 rear gear. It is used only as a tow vehicle or as a hauling truck as needed. It is not a daily driver. We make an annual trip out through the Rockies with the Airstream. Our truck works great for our purposes. Perhaps newer 1500/150 trucks would work as a "anywhere in the country" tow truck but I am not willing to give them a try. I am more than happy with the 2500 gasser with 410 rear gear.

No regrets. Maybe one...

Have a 23 FB with 3/4 6.2 gas V8. Went out on our maiden voyage and wife even had a turn at the wheel and mentioned how smooth the drive was. She decided to drive it home.
Only regret I have maybe is it's a rough ride with an empty bed. Woowee nothing like our Lexus RX 350. Haha.
Otherwise it's been a solid performer.

Brandon let some air out of the rear truck tires when not towing. Maybe 10lbs or so.

I just love my 3/4 ton. Not bought for a daily driver....bought to haul/tow and drive when it get really nasty out (blizzard). 50k on the ODO 17 years later, still a solid truck for it's intended purpose and zero rust, which is a feat in and of itself here in the rust belt.....

Volt is my daily driver and my penance for consuming the equivalent of the annual fuel consumption of a very small 3rd world country in a 3000 mile trip with the 3/4 ton.

When I hear 3/4t I think of our 'Burb 2500, unfortunate that it and other 2500 options are not available.
I'm a GOF, and still feel that a p/u is not the best toeing option for any AS.
YMMV

I, also, am a GOF. The reason the p/u was the best option for us is that we boondock a lot. When we do so, we carry a generator and a 1 gallon can of gasoline. We didn't want the generator and gasoline filling either the tow vehicle or the trailer with the gasoline fumes. Hence, we needed something with a totally separate space.

Buying our Ram 2500 with a Cummins was a brilliant upgrade over our previous 1/2 ton truck. This truck ended all discussions/concerns about being overloaded and stability issues while towing our Airstream.
