2020 F150 Trailer Blind Spot Monitor Issue

We have a new F150 Lariat with the Max Trailer Tow Package. We tow a 2020 Globetrotter 27' FB, and we use a ProPride hitch.

Note: Because we have a Hensley type, I have not set up the back up assist. I understand it doesn't work all that well with a projection style hitch as the pivot point is not in a fixed position relative to the target sticker.

I have gone through the menus to set up the trailer, answering all the questions about length and width in order for the BLIS system to work. However, when I attach the trailer, I get a warning that the BLIS system is deactivated, and the trailer menu that shows all of the info shows the same.

The dealer is at a loss, and I have found several other F150 forum posts on this issue, but none addressing a fix on a Lariat with our option set. I have not found a way to "activate" the BLIS system when the trailer is attached, and there are no different setup options other than the ones that I have tried.

Is anyone else running into this issue with a 2020? Thank you for the help.

Nathan

I have the 2017 truck with BLIS and vaguely recall I had similar issues early on. With trailer plugged in, and in truck in park, and correct trailer selected, go into advanced settings and find the checkbox for BLIS. Make sure its checked. You may have to delete and reprogram your Airstream trailer settings in the truck to do this. Granted, its not intuitive.

Another idea is to disconnect the truck battery for 15 minutes and see if that resets things.
