The Cummins powerplant sells the Ram. Nissan was hoping to jump on that bandwagon and sell a ton of Titan XD's. I drove both, liked both but read a lot of reviews that were pretty critical of the Ram's suspension. So I went with the Nissan based on my experience with my earlier Titan.
Apparently, I've been lucky. My Titan (now at 44000 miles) has never been back to the dealer since I drove it off new. Others on this Forum have had all kinds of problems and most moved to a 3/4 ton from the Big Three.
I got an amazing deal on my Titan XD but the resale value is 60% of what a similarly equipped Ram would get at the same age and mileage so, it's a wash.
Will see how the truck holds up over the years as I hope it is the vehicle I ever need to buy.
