I am interested in buying one of these trucks with the Duramax diesel. Sometimes I will be towing a trailer, but most of the time I will be traveling unloaded on 4 to 6 hour trips. I am interested in the ride quality of these trucks on long trips when unloaded and not towing. Does anyone know if the Denali has a better ride or are they both the same suspension? Any feedback from any owners on the ride quality would be appreciated.
On the 2014s there was little to differentiate between the LTZ (or SLT in Sierra) and the Denalis. 20 inch wheels/tires, fancier grill, and chromed exhaust tips come to mind. Perhaps a few additional trim features. I suppose the larger wheels will influence the ride somewhat ... I'm referring to the 1500 series here, I assume differences in the 2500 series would be similar.
Price differential, if I remember correctly, fairly substantial!
The ride is great in the 2015 GMC 2500 Denali. Tows great, better mpg by 20-30% when towing over my 5.3L, quiet, smooth ride. Highway not towing in the low 20 mpg's.
