It's for towing a 1960 Overlander.

There's several uf us with these SUV'S towing airstreams. A perfect lying capable tow vehicle. Nice unhitched in town too!

All you need is a Trasgo shift kit installed ($60 additional to a tranny flush and filter change), plus a good coolant change and plugs. You'll be all set, the 5.4 is a darn good engine.

The older Ford trannies have many weak springs and plastic parts. The Transgo kit replaces them ans helps the shifting to be firm, not mushy. It will increase the life of your tranny especially if towing. Regardless, flush tranny and change filter every 25,000 miles. Most every tranny shop knows about a Transgo shift kit, if they don't then find another shop.
