That was a really cool article! funny how some things haven't changed much...the mileage they listed isn't much different than what I get w/ my truck, with and without the trailer. I get only a little bit better, with a smaller motor, and a bigger rear-end. (318/3.55).
what I still don't understand, though, is why the trailers have gotten SO much heavier????? I couldn't pull a modern 30-footer with my truck. (well, I "could", I guess...we've seen that a dodge intrepid "can" pull a 34 footer, but you know what I mean....;-)
