Winter in Florida or Myrtle Beach

Hi there, we're up in the great white north, Canada eh. Anyway someone suggested taking our trailer somewhere south, parking it and fly down a couple of times over the winter...

Good idea.

Any suggestions on where and/or how best to go about this? Are there campgrounds that will store the trailer while away and then move it onto a site when needed?

We're kinda thinking Florida for Disney etc, daughter is seven or perhaps Myrtle Beach?

Looking for advice...

TIA

More likely to be warm in Florida. Flights in to Myrtle Beach are not that great. Tampa and Orlando have pretty good service.

You are going to have couple of problems with the pan handle.

Flights are going to limit you to areas around Panama City or Pensacola. Another big problem with Fl. is the fact that Floridians tend to camp all year round and you will almost have to schedule your trips far enough in advance as to get a site over a weekend. This problem will be much greater in the State Parks than in the private ones. The private parks will most likely be able to store your trailer.

I would start your search as soon a possible as you may be behind the curve already for this year.

Keep in mind that freezing is a possibility on the Pan Handle so winterizing may be a consideration. We camp in Santa Rose and St George in Jan and have not yet had a hard freeze but it is a possibility.

Edisto is nice, but not sure there's much to do in the winter.

We're headed to St. Mary's Ga. not sure of the deals but a lot to do in warmer weather.

It's about 350 miles.
