second winter in montana

we have a 72 overlander, think put it in as 70 when re-registered.. we made it thru our second winter, and this was a cold windy one but we kept warm, we totally restored with new wire, plumb insul furnace tankless waterheater, tub/shower new aluminum interior new air etc. total restore and lived in so far over a year. we are building house and prob will sell in spring to help pay some taxes we owe ugh i will miss our little home. it kept us warm and cozy and held up well thru all storms. 4 layers of bubble foil insulation we made out great even at 30 below andhigh winds

Welcome!

Hi Mt.magpie, Welcome to the forums. Do you have any pictures? There isn't much to stop the wind in Colstrip. Your a very brave one but, I guess you make do with what you have. I'm for Helena originally. Your almost through the the winter and maybe the Chinooks will keep you warm for the rest of it. Good luck

I'm a native of Libby Montana. Winter in Montana... well, it gets a little frosty. Of course, Libby has the benefit of the mountains. To borrow a phrase of my grandfather's, "There's only three strands of barbed wire between Eastern Montana and the North Pole.
