Newbie freezing in Mississippi

Good Morning. Our Airstream Classic 33 FB is currently attached to shore power and water at our home here in Mississippi while some construction is being done on our house, This cold ( 16 ) morning I went out to have coffee and check some email and our trailer is 38 degrees inside. I had the Alde system set at 70 and usually it's ok ( 68) ambient temperature when we go in, but this is extremely cold for our area and is sustained for the next few days. What am I doing wrong? We've only had the trailer for a little over a month and are learning all the quirky things that can be issues, but here's what I know.

After burnng through a bottle of propane I learned that green is on and blue is not, lol. cost me 27 dollars but I learned. I also spoke with the service guy and was told that even on shore water, we have to have a certain amount of water in the holding tank for the system to work properly. I'm at 35%. I'm sure without looking that the water line to the trailer is frozen but I'm using bottle water and haven't turned on the tap. I've been in here for about an hour and even the towel rack is not warm. What am I missing? I'm tempted to select the propane option to see if it will warm up, but I'm currently sitting at the dinette and don't hear the boiler doing anything...even after setting the thermostat to 78. Any ideas what user errors I'm missing?

I don't know how the Alde system works... but if you have shore power, I would at least put a small electric heater in there to keep things warmer until you figure it out.

If you are trying to heat the trailer with the heat-pump in the air-conditioner, it won’t work in those kinds of temperatures. The heat pump is only good for mildly chilly temps. You need to use the propane furnace for truly cold weather.

You do not need to have water in the fresh tank if you are connected to a municipal or home water supply hose. But if you have a hose connected to your trailer in these temps, it is going to be frozen solid and you may have other freeze damage.

Go get a couple of electric heaters. They will draw about 10 amps each.
Heat that trailer.
Then troubleshoot the Alde heater.

Propane is your best friend. Use it.
Not sure what your budget is but you can buy a heated fresh water hose. Also electric.

we use a quartz heater to augment the furnace when it gets cold
