An FYI about Camco Wave3 - in lieu of Propex
Not wanting to hijack a thread I thought I should post here.
I've heard good things about the Propex, one that impressived me was installed in a high-top Nissan. I read on Facebook groups that many cargo trailer conversion folks (DIY and professional) use Espar or Webasto brand diesel fueled heaters, as well.
My 23FB came with (besides the 13.5K heat pump) the noisy, inefficient and too small, 16K furnace. Another project led me to pickup a Wave3 - I really considered the Propex - its very efficient, uses no electricity and is silent... so while spending money, I also setup the Airstream so I could move it back and forth. It is perfect, especially when I only need a little heat.
This is the smallest model which is 1600 BTU on low; 3000 on high. Many don't trust unvented propane heaters, but after using and testing, I do. It has to produce some humidity but I can't tell that there is any more with it. It has a low oxygen shut off, but I also have a new CO detector that reads zero when the heater was on and its right next to it.
