My airstream might get in the snow. But I won't be in it. I will be in Fl in my other airstream.

Fresh Snowfall Last Night

We got a fresh covering of snow last night, so we took a few photos. I thought about naming this "6 to 8 inches last night" and posting it on the "Sex in an Airstream" thread, but thought better of it. But there was a "double dog dare" involved.

This was fun looking at all the photos! We live just an hour from a mountain, but we've been apprehensive about driving our trailer on the mountain passes! Really wanted to sleep in the snow...got to this week, even if it was just in our driveway

Did you see the Airstream newsletter article on towing in the snow, Kim? (One of the members here sent me the link.) I felt a lot better about getting the Bambino back after reading that. I want to stop and get some cables tomorrow on the way out, just in case.

This is us right before the onset of a blackout that lasted for seven days...I know that type of heater can be dangerous, but we were careful, and even cooked food and heated water with it while all we had was a battery operated A.M F.M radio. Plus, I moved to get our cats inside so their ears would not freeze off. The airstream scored once again against the elements.

We're preparing to move ours to a spot that is less prone to drifting a couple hundred yards away. We got a bit under 18" of the white stuff in the last storm, and the next storm is due in on Friday, so now's our chance: Move it or lose it for the winter!

I would move it to the first spot next to the bath house. Less digging when you want to make a getaway.

That's where we parked it in previous years, Richard. It worked out ok, though the bathhouse itself does cause significant drifting in that front road, and the presence of the Airstream there seems to make it a bit worse. Instead, then, I'm thinking about halfway up in the lower part of the park. If there's a bunch of drifting around the Airstream, it won't hurt just to leave the snow there until spring.

Lynn

Snow coming to Angel Fire...

LYNN:

Good to hear that you'll be getting some of the white stuff this weekend - news reported this morning the storm is coming in Friday and another Sunday PM. Too bad you may not see your rig until next spring!

It may look like snow in the pix below... Guess where?

Good seeing you in Cortez, Lynn - stay warm!

Cheers,

Art
