Marmoleum vs Hand Sanitizer

How, you say, could they possibly be in the same sentence?

Well, I'll tell you.

I spilled some ethanol-based, who, hand sanitizer, on my marmoleum floor.

I thought I got most of it wiped up.

Turns out underneath a box, oh, there must have been a little left.

It has marred the surface, with a slight white
Tinge. I use the marmoleum cleaner, and the wax, but no luck.

Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a section of that floor which is relatively hidden, so you can test these low-grit possibilities, to make sure they don't stain also?

-- alcohol [2 kinds]
-- Goof-off
-- vinegar [2-3 kinds]
-- lemon juice
-- etc.

Then I would move up to:

-- Soft Scrub
-- Bar Keeper's Friend [Cleaning tips: https://www.barkeepersfriend.com/cleaning-tips/]
-- Bon Ami

The trouble with these last ones, is that they will probably change the sheen of the surface in some way, so you might have to wax/polish it back to "normal" . . . or give that entire section of floor new "matte-like" sheen.

Of course in these Times Covidian, the definition of "normal" may have to become more pliable IMO.
