Shocks leak

Hi Everybody!

My 2 left shocks leak and the right ones are ok. So, I am going to replace my 2 left shocks. Does anybody know if I must change the right ones and why?

Thank you for your answers.

I would replace all four. If two are leaking, the other two will probably start leaking soon.

My 2 cents.

Replace all four IMO, so the system will be balanced, regardless of possible future leaks.

Agreed. These affect vehicle dynamics, which would not be even left to right if you didn’t replace the whole set. In other words, one side will be “bouncier” than the other, so the vehicle won’t perform evenly in say an emergency lane change.

Thank you for your answers. I am going to replace my 4 shocks after 50,000 miles.

Best regards
