2018 International 27FBQ Shock bolt/nut size
I was recently checking the brake shoes and wheel bearings on my newly acquired 2018 International 27FBQ and noticed that the right front shock upper mount nut was missing! No problem (other than why it would be absent)...I know how to read a parts book to get the proper sized replacement! The parts book says it is a "0130068-818Nut, Hex head, Flanged, 5/8”,18, Shock mount" so I went dutifully to the internet and ordered a handful of these.
When they arrived I went out to replace the missing nut and....guess what? ...the shock studs are 1/2" - 13! A little research shows that the parts books of many units about that time frame are listed as the 5/8" item.
Don't know who I could contact at Airstream to get this corrected but I think an update is appropriate. I found another post here where the nut was missing on a 27FB and the pictures that were posted show the 1/2" nuts that are the correct item.
Waited a week to get the wrong item - Amazon will get me what need tomorrow....
