1975 argosy trailer shocks

How do you replace the shocks? There isn't enough room to slide the top mount between the frame and the axle mount. these shocks are horizontally mounted.Do I have to grind the welds off then re-weld ?

Awesome video. Splitting the bushing on the top mount is the trick. Thanks for the how-to!
