What is this wire?

Hi, I am in the process of renovating a 1973 29 ft Ambassador center bath. I have fun into what I imagine is an unusual problem that I am hoping someone will know what I am talking about.
In the front of the trailer there is a box with a bunch of big wires coming out. One of them is a a big black wire that connects to the inverter. Well, I unhooked it while I was replacing the subfloor. I was trying to string it through the frame and I accidentally pushed into the wrong part of the frame (the solid part that connects to the hitch) and now I cant get it back out to reattach it to the front panel.
I am going to give it one more really good try to get it out tomorrow and then I am thinking that I might have to cut it and put a new end on it. I'd like to know what it is and what kind of end attachment I need.

Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Jen

Looks like the positive cable from the battery/charge line/converter.
