What is this on my sink?
Have two of these on my kitchen sink. Can’t figure them out.
Can I ask what accessory someone added?

They appear to be glued on to the counter top. I can’t locate any screws either on top or underneath. My wife would like them removed but I don’t want to damage the counter and was curious as to their purpose.
It is on a 2004 25’ classic.

Probably on there with a circle of VHB tape or the like.
Use a very thin, flexible putty knife with rounded corners or a piece of thin guitar string and two wooden toggles to cut through the tape at the base of the plastic thingie.
Then use “Rapid Remover” from Amazon get the remaining adhesive off the countertop. Try it first in an inconspicuous area to be sure it won’t dissolve the countertop material.

Might want to soften it up first with a blow dryer.

Try Glide dental flow. Work it back and forth.

Bill means “Dental floss.” Wrap a good long length of it around a couple sticks so as to not cut your fingers.
Even better idea, Bill!

If it is VHB tape, or the like, I would try rubbing alcohol to break the adhesion. Together with a plastic scraper, you should get it off fairly easy without damaging the counter.

It came off with floss and a little prying in the provided slot. Tape looks like it will come off pretty easy now.
Thanks
