Wardrobe Removal ???

As this is our first post just want to thank all for the very helpful info in this forum.

We want to remodel our '54 Flying Cloud by removing the refrigerator and wardrobe cabinets on the curbside. Then add a dinette in their place. Our question is: Does the removal of these two cabinets affect the structural integrity/support of the shell or anything else?

The current layout has the goucho in front; the galley and two wardrobes on the streetside; a full size bed in the rear; and the two cabinets w/refrigerator on the curb side.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Randy and Debra

Structural Integrity

The shell is independent of the furniture and integrity will not be affected by removal.

A problem will be to cover over the refrigerator area and properly insulate the area. There is 2 1/2" of fiberglass bat between inner and outer shell elsewhere in the trailer. You may want to pop-rivet aluminum sheet over the fridge area after insulating.

Also, is anything else hidden under there? converter, water heater, etc. that will have to be relocated?
