Vulkem not on horizontal seams?

My AS has Vulkem on the endcaps and window but not on the horizontal seams. Is there a reason for this other than saving money?

Right, I have a similar question. And then there's product called Acryl-R Seam Sealer, which claims it is for use on ALL of these places. The documentation states; "For use on segment seams, Airstream built windows, beltline, rubrail, tail lights, clearance lights, exterior connections and components." What's up with all this?

Everywhere there was a seam with no Vulkem there is corrosion and intrusion under the clear coat. Seems like it should be sealed from the factory.

Can I just seal it with Vulkem ???

That's what I did after removing the corrosion. There are aircraft products for treating corroded aluminium before sealing. I sealed inside with Vulkem and outside with Parbond. Top's thread on abby's seperation H has a link to the products he used to stop the effects of the corrosion.
