Upgrades so far

Upgrades to the Globe Trotter 64 so far. Removed all the cabinet doors and replaced them with Mahogany framed doors (Slightly lighter than the plywood doors and a lot better looking
The stereo area in the very front above the gaucho is still under construction but the sound is awesome. Need to build one more door for the right side.
The couch is now a dinette with a full sized bed using the table and the back cushions. All the foam has been replace with good firm foam with memory foam on top. Very comfy

The faucet is nothing special, a household Peerless from Lowe's. The hookup is a standard thread to 1/2" hose barb (All the water systems have been converted from the old copper to marine grade plastic hose.
The sink is a marine grade

The sink is stainless steel by Sterling 13" x 17" 9 3/4" deep (cutout size 11 5/8" x 15 5/8") MFG# POL 101-1 It fit the original galley location perfectly. Pricey at $195 but my wholesale account at the local marine suppliers helps a lot

While I'm at it:

The stove top is Marine LPG 3 burner by ENO P/N ENO43334, retails at $500

Corian counter top from a local installer that will sell off overruns from jobs, found on craigslist, think it was around $70. Cuts like firm plywood, route the edges just like wood. The only thing they will not sell you is the 'special' glue they use.

What did you do for the bathroom door? We're looking for something more solid than the plastic accordion door that came with ours. I like the look of wood.

The plastic accordian was done for. So the door and bulkheads built from scrath. 1/2" ply. The door frame is mahgany 1 x 2. So the door weights very little more than the accodian did. Piano hing for the hinging to spread out the load as this is very light. Latching is small bolt type inside and out. The door latches open for travel so that you can see through the rear window.

The space over the door was where the AC unit was. Now it's removed I may put a continuation of the bulkhead across the top.

The table has a dual purpose, it becomes the base for the dinette bed. Has a marine removable post as a stand.

As for the table it's self, I used a 5/8" ply and frames it with mahogany. The graphic was painted with wood stains and silver enamel model paint for the Airstream. Thin marker pen for the few details. Then I used that clear 2 part epoxy on top for a deep gloss look like they used to Mid century in café's. When it is poured it has to be very level and bubbles are eliminated by passing a flame over the top as it sets. Take 24 hours to set up and give it at least a week before you use it.

Glad you like it. I may make more as it's removable, change up the mood
